Hot Rock Backpackers is a backpacker's located in central Rotorua, overlooking the historic Kuirau geothermal park, and approximately 15 miles from Rotorua Airport. This location is also within walking distance of the city's cafes, shops, and the downtown information and bus station complex. The property's amenities include the Lava Bar, barbecues, e-mail stations, laundry facilities, dining and kitchen area, sun decks, and three geothermally heated, hot mineral pools (indoor and outdoor). The lodge also offers safety deposit and luggage/bicycle storage (for free and for long or short terms--big enough for surfboards too). All rooms feature balconies, sheets and duvets, refrigerators, central heat, and either shared or private bathrooms.
