This is a great place to stay for those looking to explore the rugged wilderness of the Fiordlands area. The staff of the hotel have long experience in assisting guests on the numerous activities that are available in the area. The hotel is very popular with tour groups and individuals. SE0908 A modern low rise concrete and glass building, a new wing has been built in 2007 adding an extra 92 new rooms. Large windows make the most of the great scenery. The Luxmore is located in the centre of town and within a short walk of all the shops, restaurants and amenities. Te Anau is the gateway to the "Fiordland" and so is a great place to stay and explore the famous world heritage sites of Milford Sound, Doutbful Sound and the Fiordland national park.
