Welcome to the Newport, Rhode Island area. Whether you were drawn here to enjoy the music festivals, yachting regattas, mansion tours or a day at the beach, the Travelodge Newport area/Middletown provides a reasonably priced alternative to hotels that are only slightly closer to downtown Newport. Our New England inspired Travelodge is about a 10-minute drive from the Newport waterfront and its wonderful restaurants and shopping boutiques, the mansions, beaches and Cliff Walk. During the summer, enjoy a picnic or a game of volleyball on our large grassy play area or take a dip in our crystalline pool (opened seasonally). Our pleasant, helpful staff is ready to make your stay both convenient and enjoyable.We are an AAA two diamond hotel. Sleepy Bear Honor Roll-exceeds quality standards. We offer Wireless Internet Access, Complimentary Continental Breakfast, Heated Pool (open seasonally), Picnic Area, Guest Laundry, Plenty of Truck/RV/Bus parking, King Suites available. For families with small children: Sleepy Bear Themed Room. There is shopping and restaurants nearby. We welcome groups of all sizes.

All our rooms include an in-room coffeemaker, hairdryer, free local calls, dataports, and 72 cable channels in addition to free HBO. Our King Suites, some of which have balconies, offer in addition a microfridge, iron and ironing board and queen size sofabed. For families with young children, the hotel offers a "Sleepy Bear Den" room done in complete Sleepy Bear D?cor and includes a microfridge, TV and VCR and children's movies free of charge. Every child who stays in Sleepy Bear's room is welcomed by a stuffed version of the little bear which they get to take home with them.
