From Funchal Madeira Airport (FNC): Distance to Hotel Alto Lido is 22 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive. Getting there. Taxis to central Funchal cost approximately 30 EUR. The Aerobus runs to the city centre every 30 minutes. Single tickets cost 5 EUR. Local buses also operate between the airport and the city centre. Prices are all subject to change. Getting around. Funchal and the surrounding areas are served by a good public bus network. A car is useful for travelling further afield. Driving directions. Take the main road and follow signs to Funchal from the airport. Leave at junction number 9. Pass by the hospital, a set of traffic lights and a sign for LIDO. Take a right turn and head for the Lido area and the Estrada Monumental. The hotel can be seen from here; a tall building with its name on the main wall.
