Set at the end of a small cape overlooking the Aegean Sea, the Lucy Hotel is a large, white, modern beachside property located two kilometres from downtown Kavala. The 217 guestrooms are finished in cool white with earth tone fabrics and dark wood furniture and open onto furnished balconies with views over the Gulf and the beach. All rooms are equipped with desks, direct dial telephones, refrigerators, satellite television and bathrooms with shower/tub combinations. Guests can sunbathe on the large terrace by the semi Olympic sized pool, which overlooks the sea and is fringed by olive trees. Mediterranean buffets are offered in the grand restaurant, which is flooded with natural light and extends onto a veranda, which offers views across the pool and to Kavala in the distance. The casual bar opens onto a large veranda overlooking traditional fishing boats on the beach below, and serves cold refreshments, cocktails and ice cream all day. Multilingual staff on the 24 hour front desk can provide room service, look after valuables in the safe deposit box and assist with any tourist enquiries. Visitors arriving by car will find complimentary parking on site. Within two kilometres of the hotel, guests will find Kavala's Old Town and Byzantine castle, a museum encompassing archaeology, the city and tobacco, and the city's port. Further afield, guests can find the ancient town of Filipi and the Nestos River, both of which are 15 kilometres from the hotel. Directions

A taxi from the airport to the hotel will cost approximately 15 EUR. Bus numbers 4 and 5 run to and from Kavala town centre, two kilometres from the hotel. Kavala is best explored on foot. < BR> Driving directions: From the airport, follow the Egnatia Freeway towards Kavala. On entering the city, follow the sea road for about 2 kilometres. Turn left at Kalamitsa beach; this street leads straight to the hotel.
