Location.Hotel Residnez Bavaria is a family friendly hotel situated in the town of Bad Reichenhall at the foot of the Berchtesgaden Alps, 15 kilometres from Salzburg. Salzburg International Airport (SZG) is 15 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 30 minutes. At the health centre saltwater mineral baths, mud baths and essential oil therapies are on offer, and barbeques are held in summer and candlelit fondue nights in winter. Bad Reichenhall is famous for being a spa town, and a trip to the area should include a visit to the Kurgarten. The spa park is unique due to its open air saltwater inhalation facility. Getting there. Bus number 2 departs Salzburg Airport every 10 minutes for Salzburg main train station (Hauptbahnhof). A single ticket costs 1.80 EUR. Bus services are also available to Tyrol and Bavaria. Trains run directly between Salzburg and Bad Reichenhall. The station is 300 metres from the hotel, and complimentary shuttle bus from the station to the hotel is available. Taxis are available outside the airport terminal, or alternatively the hotel can arrange transport (surcharge). The best way to get around the old town is on foot, as it is mostly pedestrianised. Bad Reichenhall is easily reached by rail and there are regular train services to Munich and Salzburg. A hire car would be useful for exploring the Bavarian countryside. Car rentals are available online. All prices subject to change. Driving directions.From the airport take the highway A8 in the direction of Salzburg Munchen. Leave at the Bad Reichenhall exit and follow the B20. Take the exit for Kurgebiet and follow then Munchner Alee until the hotel.
