The Crown, set in the historic town of Old Amersham, combines the old world charm of an Elizabethan Inn with the modern comforts of today. The Crown is the perfect retreat for both business or leisure. The hotel features traditional and contemporary-style rooms and are fully equipped. Set in the beautiful Chiltern Hills, Amersham makes a great base from which to explore the local countryside and also with easy access to the M25, M1,M40, and M4.

Directions

From London Heathrow Airport (LHR): Distance to the Crown Hotel is 21 miles, approximately 45 minutes' drive. Getting there. The airport is on the Piccadilly line of the London Underground, which runs directly to Kings Cross station. From there take the Metropolitan line which runs all the way to Amersham. The journey to central London takes approximately one hour, and trains depart the airport every 10 minutes. A one day travel pass costs 6.30 GBP, including travel to Heathrow (in zone 6). Taxi fares from Heathrow to Amersham are approximately 50 GBP. Prices are all subject to change. Getting around. Amersham is compact enough to explore on foot, but a car is useful for excursions further afield. Driving directions.From Heathrow take the M4 in the direction of Gatwick and follow signs for the M25 Exit 4b. Take Exit 16 to the M40. Take Exit 2 following signs towards Beaconsfield. Follow the A413 London Road into Old Amersham. Turn left into the High Street. The hotel is on the left, and parking is to the rear of the hotel, via Whieldon Street.
