The Polus hotel has an excellent selection of facilities including a bowling alley with a bar, an indoor swimming pool, sauna and fitness room. It also has good conference facilities. A great hotel for travelers looking for good budget accommodation. (AHJ 0708) A six storey modern building painted green and red with a pitched roof housing the top 3 floors. North east of the city, the Polus is 8 kms from the centre and has good transport links to Budapest's tourist attractions and is next to the big Polus shopping centre.

Directions
From Budapest Ferihegy Airport (BUD): Distance to Hotel Polus is 20 kilometres, approximately 1 hours' drive. Getting there. Pre pay bus number 93 runs from the airport to the Kobanya Kispest underground metro terminus. From here, go to Deak Ferenc Square and change for the red line and go to Keleti Railway Station. At Keleti, take bus number 173 to Hotel Polus. There is a taxi stand at the airport. Passengers are advised to negotiate a price before travelling, as fares are not always regulated. The fare to Hotel Polus should be about 5,600 HUF. Getting around. An efficient and inexpensive public transport system operates in Budapest. There are easy links between the buses, HEV trains, metro, trolley buses, and trams. Tickets are available from kiosks, newsstands, and metro stations.
