The Trident Hilton Jaipur is a traditional Indian style hotel set opposite the Jal Mahal lake palace and overlooking Mansagar Lake and the Aravalli Hills. This four floor hotel features 138 air conditioned guestrooms, all of which open onto balconies with lake or garden views, and include satellite television, Internet connections, minibars and safes. After a workout in the fitness room, guests can cool off with a dip in the outdoor pool, which offers panoramic views of the Aravalli hills and Mansagar Lake beyond. Souvenir hunters can shop for carpets, books and gifts in the hotel shop, while kids are looked after in the supervised childcare centre. The hotel also offers table tennis, a playground and a pool table to keep children occupied. Guests can dine at Jalmahal, an informal restaurant overlooking the swimming pool, which offers both a buffet and an a la carte menu of Indian and Continental dishes and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. After dinner, drinks can be taken in the Mansagar Bar, which opens onto a terrace with views of the Aravalli hills and the lake. The concierge can make local restaurant reservations as well as booking excursions and recommending nearby sightseeing hotspots. Nearby attractions include the landscaped gardens of the Kanak Vrindavan Temples, one kilometre away, and the pink sandstone palace of Hawa Mahal, four kilometres away. Bargain hunters will enjoy a day's browsing at the Johari Bazaar, five kilometres from the hotel. Jaipur Sanganer Airport is 20 kilometres away, and can be reached in around 35 minutes by car.

Sure it has a nice color, but how many miles per gallon does it get? Desert village My camel was supposed to be brand new, but it still broke down. A short stop at a village camel doctor was necessary. Clearly marked with a country of origin, my camel complies with international transit rules- just in case I crossed to Pakistan inadvertently.
