Positioned adjacent to Highway 140, the Super 8 Motel in Mariposa, Calif., is located at the gateway to Yosemite National Park. Guests can enjoy complimentary continental breakfasts every morning, and relaxing afternoons around the on site outdoor pool. Other hotel amenities include laundry facilities, 24 hour front desk service and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. The 46 comfortable guestrooms feature convenient furniture arrangements and contemporary d�cor, and guestroom amenities include complimentary local calls, coffeemakers, cable television with premium channels, microwave ovens and refrigerators. Yosemite Avalanche Alternate Routes: Highway 140 has been closed indefinitely. Alternate directions are as follows : FROM THE NORTH (San Francisco, Sacramento, Lake Tahoe) TRAVEL TIME: Manteca to El Portal, 2.5 hours: From Manteca, take SR 120 east. Follow SR 120 east through Oakdale, turning south on SR 120 before reaching Jamestown; Continue east through Moccasin, Big Oak Flat and Groveland to the Big Oak Flat Entrance of Yosemite National Park. Continue on SR 120 to Yosemite Valley. At the intersection of SR 120 and SR 140 in Yosemite Valley, turn right (west) and continue to El Portal (Yosemite View Lodge, Yosemite Cedar Lodge, Yosemite Resort Homes, Indian Flat RV Park). FROM THE WEST (Monterey Bay, Merced, Mariposa) TRAVEL TIME: Merced to El Portal, 2.5 hours: From Merced, take SR 140 east. In Mariposa, turn right on SR 49 and continue to Oakhurst. Turn left onto SR 41 in Oakhurst and continue to the South Entrance to Yosemite National Park (Wawona Road). Continue on the Wawona Road (SR 41) to Yosemite Valley. In Yosemite Valley, travel on Southside Drive to the El Capitan Crossover, left on the Crossover and left again on Northside Drive. Northside Drive travels west, eventually becoming SR 140 which will take you to El Portal (Yosemite View Lodge, Yosemite Cedar Lodge, Yosemite Resort Homes, Indian Flat RV Park). FROM THE SOUTH (Fresno, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo) TRAVEL TIME: Fresno to El Portal, 2 hours: From Fresno, take SR 41 north. Continue on SR 41 to the South Entrance to Yosemite National Park (Wawona Road). Turn left onto Wawona Road (SR 41) and continue to Yosemite Valley. In Yosemite Valley, travel on Southside Drive to the El Capitan Crossover, left on the Crossover and left again on Northside Drive. Northside Drive travels west, eventually becoming SR 140 which will take you to El Portal (Yosemite View Lodge, Yosemite Cedar Lodge, Yosemite Resort Homes, Indian Flat RV Park). FROM THE EAST (Lee Vining, Mammoth Lakes) TRAVEL TIME: Lee Vining to El Portal, 1.5 hours: Call 1 800 427 ROAD to confirm whether Tioga Pass is open. From Lee Vining, take SR 120 west. Continue on Tioga Road (SR 120) through Yosemite National Park. At Crane Flat, turn left onto Big Oak Flat Road. At the intersection of SR 120 and SR 140 in Yosemite Valley, turn right (west) and continue to El Portal (Yosemite View Lodge, Yosemite Cedar Lodge, Yosemite Resort Homes, Indian Flat RV Park).
