Sun Valley Inn and Lodge

Built in 1936 by Averell Harriman, the historical Sun Valley Lodge is located in the Sun Valley Resort, just one mile outside of Ketchum, ID. Built in 1936 as future presidential advisor Averell Harriman's vision of "roughing it in luxury," this is the Sun Valley resort area's original lodge. Guests can enjoy an on site bowling alley, outdoor ice skating rink, champion ice shows, full service spa, and complimentary transportation to and from the Friedman International/Sun Valley Airport. The outdoor pool is heated year round and offers apr�s ski cocktails and a luxurious marble locker and shower room, as well as a sauna and massage center. The Lodge features 148 guest rooms, all of which include a marble bath, handmade oak furnishings, French country decor, a down comforter and plentiful pillows, and a plasma screen television with cable and Nintendo video games. All guest rooms have views of either Bald Mountain or Diamond Back Mountain.

From Friedman Memorial/Sun Valley Airport: Depart left (northwest) onto SR 75. Continue north on SR 75 to Ketchum where SR 75 becomes Main St. At the 2nd stoplight in Ketchum turn right (east) onto Sun Valley Rd follow sings for Sun Valley ski area. Continue 1 mile to 1 Sun Valley Rd.
