The Southwark Rose Hotel in London provides modern, economic accommodations in the historic city borough of Southwark, home to the Globe Theatre and other venues associated with William Shakespeare's work. The hotel is conveniently situated near the Southwark Jubilee Line and Waterloo tube stations. Nearby attractions include the River Thames, Borough Market, Tate Modern, Millennium Bridge, National Theatre and the London Eye. The House of Parliament and Downing Street are both one mile from the hotel. The Southwark Rose hotel offers 84 guestrooms, each with cable television, blackout drapes, air conditioning, complimentary newspapers and bottled water, coffee/tea maker, designer toiletries and high speed Internet access. The hotel restaurant, Rose, offers contemporary and traditional cuisine for breakfast and dinner. The Southwark Rose hotel, London features three new meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 60 people, including break out areas, reception and bar. Lunch or dinner can be taken in the executive lounge on the sixth floor of the hotel. Other hotel amenities and services include a lounge area, Internet cafe and business center. Guests also have complimentary use of the sauna, steam room, and fitness equipment in the health center next door to the hotel.
