Most of the main tourist attractions are within walking distance.The Shelter Jordan has single-sex rooms with 4, 5, 6, 8 and dorms with 18 beds. The dorms are divided into smaller sections to provide the privacy you�d like. Our budget price includes breakfast, linen, hot showers a locker and all taxes. Starting at 16.50 euros, these are the best-value beds in town.You will get so much MORE than just a good night�s sleep at an affordable price. The hostel not only provides excellent facilities, but also has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. All of our international staff speak English and will be pleased to help you. The hostel has a garden terrace and a great caf� where you can get something to eat or drink, relax and meet people from all over the world, or use the Internet. The LOCATION in the quiet and picturesque Jordaan area makes it easy to explore Amsterdam. The hostel is close to the Anne Frank house, Leidse square and Dam square. Experience real Christian hospitality!Important info:� The hostel is smoke-free, drug-free, alcohol-free (smoking cigarettes is allowed in the garden).� When you have booked a 4 person room for 2 or more persons, we will do our best to accommodate you in the same room, although we cannot guarantee this.� There are separate rooms for men and women. If you book the wrong sex room we cannot guarantee your accommodation.� No lock out.� No curfew. � The atmosphere of the hostel is best suited to those betweeen 15 and 40 years old, but over 40's are also welcome if they can climb into top bunk-beds!� For the 4-8 person rooms there is a 15 euro deposit for the room key, which will be returned at check out when the key is returned� The use of a locker is free, you will only need a padlock, which are available to buy at reception if you don't have your own� If you want to cancel your reservation: e-mail or phone us before midnight (Amsterdam time) two days before your arrival day, otherwise we will have to charge your credit card for one night�s accommodation.� Comparison with our sister hostel in Amsterdam, Shelter City: Shelter Jordan is smaller (98 beds), is cosy, and is located in a quieter part of the city centre.� Multiple booking policy:If the same name or credit card is used in multiple bookings for a total of more than 8 people on the same day then we will apply our group payment and cancellation conditions to be found on www.shelter.nlIf the group booking is just for one night and is on a Friday, Saturday or one of the following dates around public holidays, then an extra charge of 5 euros will be made per bed booked: 27/28/29/30/31 December 2009.The last-minute special offer is only available on online bookings and for a limited time period.Changes to existing bookings which include the special offer price may result in new (higher) prices being applied to the previously discounted night(s).Normal booking and cancellation conditions apply (see http://www.shelter.nl/termsandconditions.php)

How to get to Shelter Jordan hostel:From Schiphol AirportTake bus 197 or 370 from stop B3 to Marnixstraat (last stop). Walk left on Marnixstraat to the big road junction. Cross the road and the canal and walk on the right of the water on Lijnbaansgracht. First right is Bloemstraat and we're at number 179, just around the corner.You can also take a train to Centraal Station and follow the instructions below.From Centraal StationTake tram 13 or 17 from Central Station (one travel zone). Get off at the 4th stop called Marnixstraat. Before the bridge, turn right into Lijnbaansgracht. Turn first right into Bloemstraat. Shelter Jordan is at number 179.Or go by foot (a 20 minutes walk)From the front of Central Station turn right on the main road (Prins Hendrikkade) and cross the first canal (Singel) and turn left . Take the second street on the right and walk alongside the canal (Brouwersgracht). Turn left at Prinsengracht (the third canal you'll come to) and walk along the right hand side. After about 650 metres, turn right into Bloemstraat. Shelter Jordan is at the far end, at number 179.From Eurolines bus stationThe Eurolines bus station is next to Amstel Station. From the Amstel Station take metro 51, 53 or 54 to Central Station (one travel zone). From Central Station take tram 13 or 17 (see info above). Or take tram 12 to Rozengracht and we're a 5 minute walk towards the centre.By carFrom the ring road A10 West, take exit S105 . Drive to the end of the S105 (Nassaukade). Go straight ahead, cross Marnixstraat. Go over the bridge. Immediately turn right into Lijnbaansgracht. The second street on your left is Bloemstraat. Shelter Jordan is at number 179.
