The Protea Hotel President is situated in one of Cape Town's most beautiful suburbs - the luxurious Bantry Bay. The hotel's position and layout is such that most of the exclusively spacious bedrooms overlook the Atlantic Ocean or Lions head and Signal Hill. The President is a 4 star, full service hotel, offering disabled facilities and rooms. Over and above the hotel's beautiful views, the hotel offers 353 spacious rooms, some of the largest sea-front conference facilities in Cape Town seating up to 500 delegates, The Islands restaurant, 24 hour room service, The Senate bar, The Amber salon, a massage therapist, curio shop, gym, wireless internet access throughout the hotel, 200 undercover parking bays, transport desk, pool and terrace, and security controlled and monitored grounds. The Protea Hotel President's location is ideal as it is so central, and GUESTS are able to walk to many places. Moreover, there is a shuttle stop outside the hotel that takes GUESTS to Canal Walk, and if a GUEST wants to go anywhere in particular or navigate a route, there is a travel desk in the reception area where transport can be advised and arranged. The Protea Hotel President is a great hotel for teens, kids and adults alike. There is a kiddie's menu in the restaurant with items such as hotdogs and chicken. The hotel offers babysitting at R30 per hour, children under 13 on arrival get an activity pack filled with crayons, activity books and sweets, during the holiday season (roughly 20 Dec - 4 Jan) The President runs a kids programme whereby the hotel employs someone to entertain the children during this period. A room is a set aside and decorated for children as a playroom, and there are also organized activities to keep children occupied such as treasure hunts, competitions, and games as well as video games and movies. The atmosphere is relaxed, yet professional. The accommodation is luxurious, yet extremely affordable. It's a resort in the city. For business, functions and leisure, there is no better choice of venue.
