  • Overall: Rating of 4.4 out of 5

"Though our room faced the busy street in front of the hotel, we heard no traffic noise with the windows closed (as required for the AC, which worked fine); in fact overall the room and hotel were extremely quiet and peaceful." source Venere

"I would highly recommend this hotel for visitors to Athens who are interested in the historical sites." source Venere

"Confortable rooms, extremely good hotel service, not too far to local attractions, reasonable price." source Expedia

"overall very good value for money and would most certainly stay there again." source Venere

"The Hotel Athens Gate was very clean and the rooms provided for more space and comfortability that was expected." source Venere

"The hotel was decently appointed, the rooms were clean but mostly basic." source Expedia

"It was very clean and comfortable." source Expedia

"Had a king superior room on a back corner; quiet clean and spacious by European standards." source Venere

"Very friendly staff, clean and relatively spacious rooms." source Venere

  • Location: Rating of 4.5 out of 5

"very nice hotel, excellent location,I have just few remarks: - towels should be washed with scented softener - bad selection of slices for breakfast - impractical elevator doors - cheap laminated floor in room." source Venere

"The staff is exceedingly helpful and professional, and the location is ideal." source Venere

"I am impressed; the view from the roof restaurant is unbelievably awesome, you can see the Acropolis and a landscape of white buildings, you feel you are at the top of the world However it’s a bit far from the tourist attraction; the Plaka Area, it might hinder you from having more than 1 trip to this area in the same day." source Expedia

"The location was great next to the archeological museum and the restaurant and roof top pool had a distant but wonderful view of the Acropolis." source Expedia

"The hotel is well-located and w/in walking distance to everything." source Venere

  • Value

"Staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the room was also way above average (while the price was not)." source Venere

  • Room: Rating of 3.9 out of 5

"We stayed 4 nights, staff spoke excellent English, room was nicely renovated. The only problem we had with the room is that the shower stall did not have a door on it, so the water leaked and sprayed all over the floor." source Venere

"Arriving from a cruise ship well before check-in time we were offered a room straight away if we were prepared to forego a bath and have only a shower." source Venere

"Tastefully renovated, metro close, near major archeological sites, great staff, rooftop bar, nice view from the room." source Venere

"The front rooms above the 4th floor have a great view of the Temple of Zues but will be a bit noisy from traffic." source Venere

"The only negative was that the room was a bit small, but this seems pretty standard for most European hotels." source Venere
