Our first look of the Franz Joseph glacier. Where we would be climbing the next day. View of Franz Josef glacier - we got 3/4 of the way up We climbed up a giant hill for the chance to get a good lookout of the mountains and beach. Quite nice. Which is rewarding after a steep climb. A quick stop to check out the glimpse of our first Kiwi mountains. The only patch of blue sky was right over the mountain. Perfect for the photo.
