  • Overall: Rating of 4.0 out of 5

"Bit out of the way, I wouldnt particulary recommend Ssakusa as a good place to stay, rather than somewhere to visit during your stay." source Hostelworld

"Overall though it was a nice clean place to spend a night, and there are plenty of computers with free internet which is fantastic." source Hostelworld

"highly recommended for the price, dorm rooms tend to be quite, and private rooms are well worth the extra couple of dollars." source Hostelworld

"impressed with how clean it was and felt right at home there straight away, a great place to start my hol." source Hostelworld

"great place to stay, very friendly staff, and once you get used to the rail system is a wicked location." source Hostelworld

  • Clean: Rating of 4.0 out of 5

"Although for the most part the hostel is clean, it has one major problem: bed bugs. Some of the bunk beds had bed bugs when I stayed and once the problem was known, the staff took action to replace the mattresses and clean the area; however, the pests kept coming back." source Hostelworld

"Lots of chances to interact with other travellers, the kitchen and bathroom are kept clean and in good working order, and the beds are clean with curtains for a little privacy." source Hostelworld

"Very clean hostel, staff constantly cleaning but we stayed next door in a smaller part of the hostel in a private room (only 4 rooms in this part) excellent internet access." source Hostelworld

"There're lots of info at the reception, everything is clean, location is near to the famous Sensouji, and the 24hr 100yen store IS a god-send." source Hostelworld

"The bathrooms and showers were always clean, although the toilet on the second floor had a faint urine smell the entire time I was there." source Hostelworld

  • Service: Rating of 4.3 out of 5

"Service good - had a hacksaw very handy for when i lost the keys to my luggage padlock, almost a bit scary." source Hostelworld

"number listed in the hostel\\\'s brochure was out-of-service and the night staff refused to help." source Hostelworld

"Friendly staff, good place to go around Tokyo and Asakusa, and the party at Annex was awesome." source Hostelworld

"It's a great little hostel with very friendly staff and good facilities (including a kitchen)." source Hostelworld

"Good hostel - clean and secure with very, very helpful staff." source Hostelworld

  • Location: Rating of 3.8 out of 5

"Bad Points: location was ok, 15 min walk from the train station, not 5 mins like the site said, level of cleanliness was very poor, very poor ventilation for the shoe area (VERY strong foot smell), the beds are rock hard & even harder pillows, very small rooms, and you have to push the button EVERY 5 seconds for the water in the shower room." source Hostelworld

"friendly and nice, but really too crowded by partying people, also being noisy in street at night, location a bit far from centre in the northeast of town, check in not before 3pm, you are charged for internet or shower before :(, flatscreen on appartment, for me unnecassary and dispensable, good kitchen, free tea." source Hostelworld

"I had a really good time in this hostel, it has a really nice family homely feel, and a good social area where everyone chills out in the evening in front of the tv. There are probably better areas to stay in Tokyo, but this area was fine to stay in, and walking distance from a metro stop." source Hostelworld

"Quite a walk from the train stations, which is an essential place since the Asakusa area doesn't have much for travelers to see. They do have a great common area for meeting other travelers." source Hostelworld

"Really great hostel, the location was good - only about 10 min walk to the closest train station. Really nice area, more like 'Old Tokyo' rather than the bright, busy fast paced Tokyo." source Hostelworld

  • Value

"When i asked the staff to book for an extra night the staff said that we would have to pay 2000 yen instead of the 1500 we first booked and made us go online again to rebook same room same price when we where right in front of the reception desk." source Hostelworld

"Great place to stay the price is right, Clean sheets with a roof over your head." source Hostelworld

"This place is value for money for the budget traveler - but nothing more." source Hostelworld

"They may think that as price cheap, the users do not have much choice." source Hostelworld

"So you have eveything you want - good price and location in the city." source Hostelworld
