"There was still some paint jobs going on, so in case it is not on the to-do list, some suggestions: a shelf above the washing sinks in the bathroom and a mirror in the room itself, girls will be girls :-) Very recommended." source Hostelworld

"if you\'re lucky u can hear some free music too from the street musicians ;) but in overall it\'s a good hostel Big lockers, real beds, nice common room and kitchen and the showers, toilets we\'re also clean." source Hostelworld

"I felt a little old as all of my room mates were students, however i would stay again. Very clean and a friendly fun environment with a cool interior, I highly recommend this place." source Hostelworld

"We also recommend it to whom is not too young but loves stay in a clean place with children's generation." source Hostelworld

  • Clean: Rating of 4.7 out of 5

"Home is really much like home ;) Bedrooms of not more than 4 beds make the environment more interactive, very clean kitchen and common area, comfy beds and clean sheets, free secured lockers, free internet, within walking distance to most of historic Valencia (2 min walk to the must-go-Mercado Central), lively neighbourhood with restaurants and tapas bars--you can't ask more for the price you pay." source Hostelworld

"Second stay at Home, loved it again although only problem was our room- beautiful and clean but no outdoor window and the only window we had opened out into the corridor (not safe to leave open), and the room felt damp." source Hostelworld

"Very, very clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the place has a lot of character and is quite small, so you can make friends easily." source Hostelworld

"The hostel was secure, staff and guests were friendly and welcoming and the whole place was very clean and comfortable." source Hostelworld

  • Location: Rating of 4.9 out of 5

"If you stay in a room off the lounge area near the front desk be prepared to use ear plugs alot; it is very loud with people buzzing in at all hours of the night and with lots of street noise." source Hostelworld

"A 10min walk from the train station, but easy to find with directions and in a good area, close to the main square and restaruants." source Hostelworld

"The bathrooms could be cleaner and the noise at night was infuriating because our room was directly off of the common area." source Hostelworld

"A really warm, laid-back vibe, the finest beds and showers i have encountered in any hostel and an outstanding location." source Hostelworld

"Great hostel, good location, very helpful multi-lingual staff, and perhaps best of all for a hostel - no bunk beds." source Hostelworld

"Probably the best value for money Ive even received from a hostel." source Hostelworld

  • Room

"The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the other guests seemed nice (although perhaps a bit noisy if you had a room facing the courtyard/lobby, even upstairs)." source Hostelworld

"Rooms & Beds are amazing - only downside is shared bathrooms - only one bathroom per floor. But I could live with that because of how great the rooms are." source Hostelworld

Directions

INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE TRAIN STATION:Walk straight out of the train station towards Plaza Ayuntamiento ( a square with a fountain on it). Walk past the fountain (leaving it on your right hand side) until you get to Citibank. Here, the road splits in four and you need to take the left fork (Avenida Maria Cristina). In the distance you will see a building that sort of resembles a castle. You will need to go to this building. As you are in Av. M Cristina, you will see the Central Market (El Mercado Central) on your left. Keep walking until you see some steps on your right hand side. Cross the steps (the building on your left is called La Lonja) and look to the left. We are right behind La Lonja.INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE BUS STATION:Take bus no. 8 outside the bus station and get off at Plaza de la Reina. You will see McDonalds on your right. Walk into that street (Calle Correjeria). You will pass a restaurant called MOMA . Follow this road until it split into two. On your right you will see a pub called Phileas Fogg and on the left a red sign that says Correjeria 33 (another restaurant). Take the left fork, so that you will actually walk past this restaurant. At the end of the road you will see a big sign saying Antiguedades. Turn left and follow the road until you see a square (Plaza Dr. Collado). On your left you will see Cafe Lisbao and Bar El Kiosko. If you look up, you can see the Hme logo right in front of you. The entrance is on the left hand side of the building. Alternatively, you can just hail a taxi or book one by calling 963 907 333 and ask the taxi driver to either drop you off on our doorstep (Calle La Lonja 4) or on Plaza Mercado in front of La Lonja and all you have to do, is cross the steps! Also, anyone on the street will be able to direct you to Plaza Mercado or La Lonja, since they are famous tourist attractions in Valencia.INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE AIRPORT:If you arrive at Valencia airport between 05.30 and 23.00 the best way to get to the hostel is by taking the Metro which will take you just in front of the Train Station (Estacin del Norte). Get the line 3 (red) and get off at the stop called Xtiva (after A. Guimera stop). From there follow our directions from the train station. Single ticket costs 1,30 euros and will take about 20 minutesIf you arrive outside of these hours you will have to take a taxi which will cost you approximately between 15 and 20 euros and will take around 15 minutes (depending on traffic) .Please see above for instructions on where to ask the taxi driver to drop you off
