Book now and take advantage of our extraordinary summer special!Our Hostel was first opened in 1993 with only 40 beds, we now have 350 beds making us the largest independent Hostel in New York City. The Chelsea International Hostel is located in the historic Chelsea district of Manhattan � just north of Greenwich Village and south of Midtown Manhattan (between 7th and 8th Avenues). The Chelsea district has the lowest crime-rate in all of Manhattan and we also provide a professional security staff. Our property is maintained around the clock by a highly motivated maintenance and maid staff and our front desk personnel is comprised of people familiar with New York and the surrounding Boroughs. We have an outdoor courtyard, two common dining areas and two common kitchens with Televisions. Free continental breakfast is served in our dining areas. You will be welcome to enjoy a variety of bagels, muffins, cereal, fresh fruits, coffee, milk and tea.FREE WI-FI IN THE LOBBYPIZZA PARTY ON WEDNESDAY It has been our tradition since our opening. WEDNESDAY evening is for free pizza!CHECK IN TIME: AFTER 3PMCHECK OUT TIME: 12 NOONVALID PASSPORT REQUIRED TO CHECK IN This policy is also valid for American and Canadian citizens, no exceptions. PAYMENTPayment is due full upon arrival, by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Traveler Checks or Cash.KEY DEPOSIT: A deposit $10 (cash only) per person is required at check-in and is refundable upon return of keys. HOTEL TAXES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE RATESExpect up to $7.50 additional per night per bed � payable on the arrival. BEDS/ROOM ASSIGNMENTSBeds and rooms are allocated on the arrival day. We will do our best to accommodate you, but there is no guarantee a group of 2 or more people will be in the same room, or a booking will have the same bed/same room all nights. We cannot guarantee a top/low bed, or a top/low floor. BRING YOUR OWN PADLOCK (MEDIUM THICK SIZE)We provide lockers in each dorm room, but we do not provide locks.AGE RESTRICTIONYou must be 18 years old or older to stay in our hostel.CANCELLATION AND NO-SHOW POLICYPlease note that any cancellation or change must be notified directly to the hostel at least 24 hours before arrival date, in case of NO-SHOW the total of first night of each guest will be charged onto your credit card regardless the reason. We are not responsible for weather conditions, illnesses, flight delays or flight cancellations. The 10% deposit is for each night�s accommodation. If you cancel any night, then the deposit for that night will be lost.

OTHER METHODS TO ARRIVE TO CIH:FROM JFK= You would take the air train that will drop you off on Howard Beach subway stop. There you will take the train A direction into Manhattan, and get off on 14st. When you get off on this stop you will want to walk towards the 16st. exit to be closer to the Hostel. We are located on 20st between 8th and 7th ave.BY BUS FROM JFK=There are buses outside the airport that take you into port authority for a certain price, may not be more than $20. Then you can take a cab to our location or the C or E train to 23st. stop.LGA=If you wish to take a bus you will have to take them outside the airport that will take you into port authority or the Carey buses that will drop you off across the Penn Station.Or you can take the M60 bus and get off on 110st and Broadway. There you can take the 1 train direction downtown and get off on 18st. We are on 20th between 7th and 8th ave.NEWARK AIRPORT=BY BUS you can take the Olympia buses that are outside the airport and they will drop you off across the street from Madison Square Garden. Then you can take the trains listed above towards our hostel.BY TRAIN you can take the NJ transit that will drop you off @ Penn Station.
