  • Room: Rating of 3.8 out of 5

"Many "seaview" rooms only have a glimpse of the sea, but the view of the pool is still lovely. A beautiful old building with lots of hidden, pretty rooms." source Venere

"The welcome was the second least warm I have encountered in Italy and the room was overpriced although otherwise things were OK." source Venere

"One friend before me staid in room n. 63 and he has an excellent memory of the hydromassage made in that room." source Venere

"We really enjoyed the terrace bar for cocktails in the evenings, and the views from the breakfast room were gorgeous." source Venere

"Its pool and rocky beach, however, don't fully compensate for the small rooms, impeded views, and high prices." source Venere

Along the coast that leads to Portofino in the quaint fishing village of Camogli stands one of the most charming hotels in Liguria. Its story began in 1565 when a family of the aristocratic Dogi built a villa at the foot of Mount Portofino. Many years later after the Villa had passed from heir to heir it was bought by the noble family of Emilio De Ferrari. He and his wife Adelia transformed the estate first into a park and then in 1956 it became a hotel which it remains today; The Hotel Cenobio dei Dogi. The views from the Hotel Cenobio are spectacular and can be enjoyed from the private beach; terrace bar and restaurant. Tennis courts and an outdoor sea water swimming pool with solarium complete the picture. The hotels 106 rooms are tastefully appointed with period furnishings and amenities such as air conditioning; satellite TV and mini bar. Comfortable common rooms offer ideal spots to curl up with a book or simply sit and ponder the beauty of the sea. Camogli is conveniently located near the motorway and train station making travel to areas such as Cinque Terre; Florence; Milan and the French Riviera simple.
