Along the coast that leads to Portofino in the quaint fishing village of Camogli stands one of the most charming hotels in Liguria. Its story began in 1565 when a family of the aristocratic Dogi built a villa at the foot of Mount Portofino. Many years later after the Villa had passed from heir to heir it was bought by the noble family of Emilio De Ferrari. He and his wife Adelia transformed the estate first into a park and then in 1956 it became a hotel which it remains today; The Hotel Cenobio dei Dogi. The views from the Hotel Cenobio are spectacular and can be enjoyed from the private beach; terrace bar and restaurant. Tennis courts and an outdoor sea water swimming pool with solarium complete the picture. The hotels 106 rooms are tastefully appointed with period furnishings and amenities such as air conditioning; satellite TV and mini bar. Comfortable common rooms offer ideal spots to curl up with a book or simply sit and ponder the beauty of the sea. Camogli is conveniently located near the motorway and train station making travel to areas such as Cinque Terre; Florence; Milan and the French Riviera simple. The towns of Portofino; Santa Margherita Ligure; Rapallo and Genoa also provide visitors with a vast array of leisure activities and cultural events. The hotel is located at the foot of Mount Portofino Natural Park offering a splendid range of hiking trails in the Park and San Fruttuoso with its restored Benedictine Abbey and charming little beach reached only by foot or boat. Diving; snorkeling; kayaking are also excellent ways to discover the natural beauty of this spectacular area of Portofino Coast while boating excursions offer a more leisurely way to enjoy the riviera and the nearby seaside resort towns. Children aged 10 and under in the room with parents and in existing bedding pay Euro 10 per night. Children are only possible in Superior rooms; Jr Suite and Suite. Children over this age are considered an adult and pay the adult supplement.
