Bamber House

Bamber House offers you a range of accommodation choices in a huge colonial home set in spacious grounds on the slopes of Mt Eden. We are a small, family operated business and we will do our best to make you feel welcome. You can choose from double & twin rooms or shared rooms with 3-6 people in them. All beds are made up with sheets and duvets for your comfort and convenience.The ofice is open from 8.30am-8.30pm and outside these hours you will need to contact us to make other arrangements. Children under 17 cannot be booked into shared rooms with other guests. We cannot accept children under 5 years.We have off-street Car-parking, a solar heated swimming pool in summer, a log fire and lots of heating in winter.Bamber House has consistently rated as one of Auckland's top hostels. Directions

From the AirportGet a Supershuttle to our door or get the Airbus to drop you off at the top of View Road.From the Intercity Bus Terminal and Downtown Walk down to Queen Street and get bus 255-258, 265 or 267 outside St James theatre and get off at the 1st stop in View Road. If you somehow end up in Mt Eden Village go to Oaklands Lodge and we will arrange for you to get here. From the Motorway Heading North Take the Khyber Pass turnoff and turn left at the lights. Stay on Khyber Pass Road until you have passed through one more set of lights then turn left into Symonds Street at the next set of lights (3rd set of lights). Travel a short distance and take the free left turn into Mt Eden Road at the next set of lights. Travel about 2 km through one set of lights. Mt Eden (mountain) is on your left. Turn right into View Road. If you get to the Mt Eden shops you have gone too far, turn back. From the Motorway Heading South Take the Gillies Ave turnoff and turn right at the lights into Gillies Ave. Stay on Gillies Ave until you have passed through one more set of lights and then turn right at the next set of lights (3rd set of lights) into Owens Road. Mt Eden (mountain is on your right) Continue on Owens Road (which becomes Stokes Road) until the next set of lights when you turn right into Mt Eden Road then take the first left into Valley Road.Turn right into Sherbourne Road which ends at View Road and we are on the lefthand corner
