Location. A sea facing hotel in exclusive Bantry Bay, Cape Town, South Africa, the Ambassador Hotel lies within one kilometre of Clifton's four beaches, and six kilometres from the centre of Cape Town. Hotel Features. The hotel's scenic pool area is set metres away from the rocks and sea and offers guests a private spot for sunbathing with a drink from the bar, and for enjoying the sounds of the ocean. The hotel offers a complimentary daily shuttle service to and from the famous Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, renowned for its restaurants, shops and boat cruises around the harbour area. Practical amenities at the hotel include a currency exchange service, a pharmacy, a Mediterranean delicatessen, and high speed Internet connections in public areas. The Ambassador Hotel offers a complimentary full English breakfast. Guests can dine in the ocean facing restaurant, which specialises in fresh seafood and has its own crayfish tank, or enjoy poolside barbecues in the evening. The hotel benefits from its proximity to the Clifton beaches, one kilometre away, where a range of beach and water sports including jet skiing, snorkelling and volleyball are available. Camps Bay, three kilometres away, offers similar activities as well as a number of hiking trails along the mountains. There is a nine hole golf course four kilometres from the hotel. Guestrooms. Directions

From Cape Town International Airport (CPT): Distance to Ambassador Hotel is 23 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive. Getting there. Taxis are readily available outside the airport, and a taxi to central Cape Town costs between 150 and 200 ZAR. The hotel offers an airport shuttle service for a fee. Driving directions. From the airport, follow the signs for the N2 to Cape Town City. Stay on the N2 highway into the city, following the signs for Sea Point. Turn right at the second set of traffic lights after entering the city centre, then left at the roundabout. Turn right into Main Road and keep right when approaching the fork in the road. Turn left at the roundabout, and right into Victoria Road. The Ambassador Hotel is on the right hand side.
