Traunbachhäusl

The Traunbachhausl is a cozy inn with 14 guest rooms, made with traditional Bavarian woodwork and craftsmanship. All rooms have private baths. Children are very welcome. The inn is situated in the middle of the valley – peaceful, quiet and a short 10 minute stroll to the center of the village. Enjoy a panoramic view of the Alps from our garden terrace, or take in the views from any of the hiking and biking paths close by.Each day starts with a breakfast buffet, including homemade bread, cereals and a selection of local cold cuts and cheeses. Now you`re ready for a day spent exploring the area. Ruhpolding is surrounded by a fairy-tale landscape of lakes, meadows and forests. It is an ideal center for tours of the area, including the region around Salzburg (30minutes), the Eagle`s Nest at Berchtesgarden, or a visit to King Ludwig`s castle on Lake Chiemsee.On your return to inn, sit back and relax – dinner is being prepared for you. At 6:30pm, gather with your fellow guests for Joana`s delicious cooking. Enjoy fresh, seasonal ingredients prepared with love, and served in an intimate setting. After dessert, retire to your room if you with. Instead of TV, why not stay and share Bavarian “Gemütlichkeit” with a glass of wine, conversation and good company.
