"Overall Pupetto is a good hotel in an excellent location (in a secluded bay away from the main beach) The public areas are a little tired & in need of refurbishment." source Venere

"Excellent hotel on Fornillo beach ( not main beach) with good parking high up the hill ( 13 Euro/day) convenient to the 2 lifts which take you directly to Pupetto." source Venere

"The photos on the web site didn't do it justice, it is a beautiful hotel in a fantastic position, ideal for getting around and enjoying Positano." source Venere

"I recommend visiting Italy in October and November as it is much less crowded and the weather is far more pleasant, tho it can rain." source Venere

"Bellissimo, a beautiful hotel, with great staff, good location, divine food, staff always very helpful and efficient." source Venere

  • Clean: Rating of 4.6 out of 5

"Rooms are very good, clean, spacious, with very nice sea view and the sound of waves (to help you sleep." source Venere

"The room was very clean and comfortable." source Venere

  • Service: Rating of 4.4 out of 5

"Check with the hotel about the ferry services from Naples to book the right ferry. If using the bus service from Amalfi or Sorrento make sure to ask the bus driver to tell you where to get off for Positano." source Venere

"My evaluation of the situation is that the hotel service failed to give me this simple advice." source Venere

"But once you are there it is a beautiful site and great service." source Venere

"The parking itself is very good, guarded and friendly staff." source Venere

"service was very friendly and breakfast was good." source Venere

  • Location: Rating of 4.7 out of 5

"The location is outstanding, right on the beach with balconies overlooking the sea, and a very easy walk into town. I didn't see any other hotel that i would have preferred for a location, this was an easy walk to town, but no traffic or noise around the hotel." source Venere

"The hotel has a great location in Positano- away from the noisy center and traffic yet only 5 min walk to the center and the main beach (and the walkway is above the sea- romantic and beautiful." source Venere

"We have stayed at more luxurious and better appointed hotels, but nothing can compare to the magnificence and beauty of Hotel Pupetto's location." source Venere

"The price seems expensive but is probably what you have to pay in that area and worth it for the great position." source Venere

"Athough it is not in the main bay of Positano it is only a short walk from the main shopping area." source Venere

  • Value

"The other hotels are fancier and bigger with nicely dressed staff, but for the value, this is the place." source Venere

  • Room: Rating of 4.4 out of 5

"We felt the rooms were a bit "tired" - inadequate shower facility, damage to some fittings, double bed was in fact 2 single beds pushed together, paintwork scrappy." source Venere

"It was heaven the view from our room, the view from the breakfast terrace, the restaurant on the beach." source Venere

"The only down with this hotel was the food at the restaurant & the room did not have a fridge." source Venere

"Our room was tilted the wrong way and the bathroom flooded when we took showers." source Venere

Traveler Photos of Positano

Just before heading out to Sorrento where we would catch a ferry to the island of Capri. Grand view for such a sullen statue. The view across the lawn of peace. Looking down into the piazza just outside the basilica.
