BY AIR:The nearest airport is in Ilheus (IOS). The closest international airport is in Salvador (SSA). It is served by most major international air companies. There are daily flights to Ilheus from Salvador, Porto Seguro, Belo Horizonte and S�o Paulo by the Brazilian companies TAM, BRA & GOL. BY LAND:There is a paved road (BA-001) that directly links Ilh�us to Itacar� following the coastline. A taxi from Ilheus to Itacare costs about 100 Reals and takes approx 1 hr. There are also buses leaving daily from Ilh�us, from 7:00 AM to 19:00h. The ticket costs about R$7 and travel time is 1:40. From the bus station in Itacare, a taxi costs approx R$ 10.
