  • Overall: Rating of 3.5 out of 5

"We are experienced but not particularly picky travellers, however we definitely won't be staying at the Mentone again, and oddly the Mentone was the first hotel Venere recommended when I initially visited your website." source Venere

"But even so I can recommend this hotel." source Venere

"I would happily stay there again." source Venere

"Overall this is a great deal." source Venere

  • Clean: Rating of 3.7 out of 5

"Not positive indeed, dusty, not so clean, room very cold (we both fell sick - flu), poor in bath towels and bed covers, no haidrayer, men at work, unfriendly employees -I won't get back in that place anymore -." source Venere

"Great service, good clean rooms, full breakfast." source Travelocity

"The hotel is in central location, the rooms are clean, breakfast is good and the employees were very helpful and kind." source Venere

"The Mentone Hotel was clean, conveniently located and for the most part a pleasant place to stay." source Venere

"My room was clean and looked like it had been freshly repainted." source Venere

  • Service: Rating of 3.3 out of 5

"I booked a car to take me to the airport after my stay and they checked the night before to confirm the service and then rang my room once the car arrived." source Venere

"The British just have no concept of a "service industry," so what can you do." source Venere

"I thought it was an excellent value, had very good service and accomdations." source Venere

"Service was OK, though." source Venere

  • Location: Rating of 4.0 out of 5

"The local area, which is close to Russell Square, is a very pleasant area with a village-type feel about it." source Venere

"A very nice basic hotel in a picturesque neighborhood, not far from the action." source Venere

"good points: excellent breakfast, courteous serving staff, nice location." source Travelocity

"good points: excellent breakfast, courteous serving staff, nice location." source Travelocity

"The location es very good and the underground is close." source Venere

  • Room: Rating of 2.9 out of 5

"Keith Richards had my room cancelled, even though the hotel was very confused by this; they knew that he still had reservations for two rooms, but they cancelled his double and tried to put him in a single." source Venere

"My partner received some sort of bites from the bed (bed bugs/fleas), and the other guests don't know how to close a door, therefore their room door and hallway door slammed shut at all hours of the day and night." source Venere

"The King room advertised, however, turned out to be a triple (one double bed and a single bed). Would rather have had a workspace, but generally, the the room was as advertised." source Venere

"our initial room was an attic room on the third floor which was very very small. we were moved on the second night to a much better and bigger room." source Venere

"The room and the location were ok. Unfortunately the room was extremely cold (the bathroom was even worse) and also the breakfast room wasn't warm." source Venere
