From London City Airport (LCY): Distance to Crowne Plaza London Shoreditch is 7.5 miles, approximately 15 minutes' drive. Getting there. Located within the airport terminal is the Docklands Light Railway station (DLR), which departs regularly for Bank Underground station, 22 minutes away. Here, change onto the Central Line (red line) and take the train to Liverpool Street station, which is 500 metres from the hotel. Tickets cost 4 GBP for a single, but a one day travel pass is more economical and practical for multiple journeys. The airport is also served by local buses and London black taxis. A taxi to the hotel should cost approximately 25 GBP. Prices are subject to change. Getting around. The London Underground (Tube) and buses are the easiest ways to travel within London. Single tickets are expensive, but an electronic Oyster card offers a cheaper fare. Oyster cards can be purchased from ticket offices for 3 GBP (refundable). Daily or weekly travel passes are the most economical way to travel, and are valid on buses, trams, trains, and DLR, as well as on the Underground. Black taxis are available on the streets, but can be expensive. Driving is not recommended for visitors as traffic can be extremely heavy and a congestion charge zone is operated in central London.
