Located in Amsterdam's new Pijp area, the Adriaen van Ostade Bed and Breakfast offers spacious, sunny and luxury accommodation in Amsterdam, between the Albert Cuyp Market and the Museum Quarter. The Pijp area, originally a student neighbourhood, is nowadays one of the most exclusive quarters to live in Amsterdam. Most buildings have been completely renovated, including the Bed and Breakfast's and the area is characterised a lively yet safe ambience. Guest amenities at Adriaen van Ostade B&B feature a brightly-lit, spacious dining area where a computer is at guests' full and free disposal, along with a Satellite TV, microwave and dishwasher. From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS): Distance to Adriaen van Ostade B&B is 20 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive. Getting there. A railway station is located under Schiphol Plaza, in the central hall of the terminal. Every 15 minutes a direct train runs to Amsterdam Central Station, two kilometres from the residence. Shared Schiphol Travel taxis can be found outside the arrivals hall. The cars can seat up to eight people and cost around 19 EUR per person to central Amsterdam and to the hotel. Private taxis into Amsterdam city centre cost approximately 40 EUR. Public buses frequently run to Amsterdam and other destinations. Buses 197 and 370 go to central Amsterdam and Amsterdam Zuid. Prices are all subject to change. Getting around. Amsterdam can be easily explored on foot. However, there are convenient bus, tram, and metro services running through the city and outside areas. Cycling is also a popular way to see Amsterdam. There are taxi ranks at the central station. Driving within the canal ring is discouraged.
