"Overall its a good hostel, its really close to the station, but also in a bit of a seedy arab area, so be forewarned, daytime its ok, but be carefull at night, planning your route around the bad part is easy, just be aware it exists." source Hostelworld

"the only down fall would be no lockers but staff will keep valiables for you & breakfast is average & costs 5euro so go out instead but overall it was great." source Hostelworld

"Overall a very good hostel, located conveniently near the train station, although this was not the safest or nicest part of town." source Hostelworld

"My room was a bit chilly even with the heater on, but other than that I would recommend the place." source Hostelworld

  • Location: Rating of 4.3 out of 5

"Location was great for us as close to the train station St Charles, but if you're planning some long holidays there, just know that the area around the station is populated by migrants and poor families." source Hostelworld

"The hostel was conveniently located right next to the St Charles train station, not that we took the train much as La Canabiere and the old port was within walking distance (approx 15-20mins)." source Hostelworld

"thought it was a great hostel, met alot of good people in the hostel and rooms were great and location is pretty good, right next to the main train station, had a great time at this hostel." source Hostelworld

"But the area is full of middle east immigrants, mostly men. I felt a little uneasy walking in that area, but as long as it\'s not too late at the night, it should be fine." source Hostelworld

"Nevertheless, the area is a bit special, say that it\'s a bit hot at night, specialy if your are a girl by your own, so i would not advice to spend too much time walking around." source Hostelworld

  • Value

"Only one regret: the breakfast is not included in the price and It came to me as a surprise since it is never said on the website or in the booking conditions." source Hostelworld

"I telephoned so many times after this trying to get somebody to look for my toilet bag, it cost me a fortune in telephone bills calling around 20 times." source Hostelworld

"very charming and inexpensive accomodation is HARD to find in Marseille, but Vertigo came through on both accounts." source Hostelworld

"The neighborhood wasn't the best or the safest probably but for the price and the proximity to gare st." source Hostelworld

"It is my warm recomendation to everyone that need the place that has very good price/quality ratio." source Hostelworld
