Real groovy guesthouse and Pub on Had Mae Rampeung Beach, between Rayong and Ko Samet in Thailand.Near Bangkok and very chilled and quiet, few International tourists. Our rooms are cheap and comfortable. Prices vary from 100 to 400 baht (2 to 8 Euros), The Roots Bar plays hip hop, dancehall, reggae with a pool table, smoking chicha, games and friendsAccess is easy from Bangkok to Rayong (2 hours by bus) and the area is very quiet and unknown to international tourists. The beach is usually deserted on weekdays except for a few fishermen...local tourism is visible on some weekends.As well as reggae decorated rooms, Roots also has other attractions such as Chicha, Backgammon, bicycles... and can arrange local excursions to elephant farms, fruit farms, temples, fishing spots, waterfalls and more.Room rates are very low for the quality of accommodation on offer. Air conditioning is not provided.

Directions

From Bangkok, take a bus to Rayong at the Ekkamai Bus Terminal. It is advised to see the site reggaeguesthouse to print the access maps, but reservations should be made through hostelworld since they offer discount rates. In Rayong, look for a taxi (Song Taew) for Had Mae Rampeung. The fare is 15 Baht per person until 18:30 and after that time you will have to hire a full car for the price of 150 Baht. Ask the driver to stop at Moo Ban Mittapap or Hin Dam where you can find Roots easily.It is advised to print the 2 maps attached and you also should note our phone number: 091 777 212
