"The location was also excellent, and the bit of street noise in our room added to its charm although I might not recommend it to someone looking for a quiet, romantic spot." — source Venere
"Overall the room was very clean, but on there was some evidence of mildew staining in some of the caulk around the (large) bathtub." — source Travelocity
"This is a wonderful hotel based in a historical building with a fantastic central location ideal for all the delights of Florence." — source Venere
"It was a truly great experience, and I would very highly recommend this hotel and their staff." — source Venere
"Overall I would rather rate this hotel as a Superior 3 star rather than a 4 star hotel." — source Venere

"I don't know what part of the hotel they were featuring on the website but the parts we saw, including our creepy, dingy room, and the labyrinthine gerbil cage hallways, looked like they hadn't been cleaned or painted since the 70's." — source Venere
"The accomodations were immaculate and spacious." — source Venere
"The room and bathroom were large and clean, though a bit lacking in charm and decor points Though the hotel entrance is up a back street, be aware that our room and many others face on to a busy (though pedestrian only) street with a moderate amount of street noise (especially street sweeping trucks that run late at night." — source Travelocity
"Great concierge who reserved our tickets to the Pitti Palace, and nice clean room." — source Travelocity
"While the hotel is clean and spacious, I found the 70's decor badly in need of an update, and there were mosquitoes in the room from someone having left the windows wide open all day." — source Venere
-
"Having been to Paradores in Spain, we expected a similar type of building AND SERVICE from the hotel description. Instead we found rude staff used to having a full hotel due to their location and therefore complaicent about their services and customers." — source Venere
"Also our room was very noisy with the sounds of service lifts, church bells and street noise but these were all bearable in comparison with the sound of the renovation works that were going on (which we had not been warned about." — source Venere
"We were thrilled with the lovely hotel, excellent service, delicious breakfast, charmingly elegant room, and terrific location." — source Venere
"This hotel, located at two steps from the central place of Firenze, the Duomo, is very charming, service is good." — source Venere
"Outstanding location and service are the highlights of this very lovely hotel." — source Venere
-
"The price I paid was great given the location but the hotel is in serious need of renovations (especially if you're in a single room, the double rooms were much nicer)." — source Skoosh
"Perfect location makes this an ideal citybreak choice, though some aspects need investment of time and money to warrant a true 4 star rating. Particularly, the reception area looks dated, desk staff look "fed up", the breakfast area is overcrowded with some shared tables, and breakfast was so." — source Venere
"This hotel has a great location, close to everything." — source Travelocity
"Hotel is located in a strategic position for those looking for shopping in the hearth of Florence. Location is not convenient for peapole arriving by car: access to the hotel is critical for it's in pedestrian area of the city." — source Venere
"Location is superb - very central to everything." — source Travelocity
-
"We got a fantastic deal with Venere for an executive suite for 220 Euros for one night." — source Venere
"Didn't think the price paid for the room reflected the quality." — source Venere
"Good value for our out-of season stay." — source Venere
"The only negative was the high price charged for parking." — source Venere
-
"The Room itself was the only real issue. My girlfriend and I each had our own room." — source Venere
