Location. The Thames Hotel is located in Maidenhead, England, three miles from Cliveden, and 20 miles from the centre of London. This boutique hotel is located on the banks of the River Thames. Hotel Features. The steep peaked roof and gabled windows of the three storey brick and plaster hotel reflect its historic beginnings; the hotel first opened in 1880. Wireless Internet is accessible throughout the public areas, and housekeeping can provide 24 hour laundry service. A complimentary breakfast buffet is served each morning at Thames Hotel. During the warmer months, the River Bar opens seating on the riverside terrace and serves Italian and British sandwiches and snacks. The Moorings Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and offers a fusion of traditional and modern national dishes. For conference or special events, the Bridges Suite has its own bar and can host 50 people for a seated banquet and 80 for a standing reception. The restaurant can be booked for private functions and seats 75 people. The two rooms may be combined to host up to 120 guests. The small meeting room holds 10 people, and features a balcony that overlooks the River Thames. Guestrooms. The 33 guestrooms have simple decor with a blue and pink colour palette, and amenities include complimentary wireless Internet and satellite televisions. Coffee and tea facilities provide in room refreshment. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations with handheld showers, makeup mirrors, and hair dryers.

From London Heathrow Airport (LHR): Distance to Thames Hotel is 15 miles, approximately 20 minutes' drive. Getting there. Black taxis cost approximately 50 GBP to the hotel. Coaches operate to areas of the UK, and local buses also serve the airport. Price is subject to change. Getting around. The surrounding area may be visited by car or by using the local bus system. Frequent trains run to London, and the London Underground (Tube) and buses are the easiest ways to travel within London. Single tickets are expensive, but an electronic Oyster card offers a cheaper fare. Oyster cards can be purchased from ticket offices for 3 GBP (refundable). Daily or weekly travel passes are the most economical way to travel, and are valid on buses, trams, trains, and DLR, as well as on the Underground. Black taxis are available on the streets, but can be expensive. Driving is not recommended for visitors and a congestion charge zone is operated in central London. Driving directions. From London Heathrow Terminals 1 3: Exit airport via spur road to M4. Take M4 west towards Maidenhead/Reading. Exit M4 at Junction 7 Slough West. At roundabout take A4 left towards Maidenhead. Cross River Thames and at roundabout immediatley after bridge, turn right into Ray Mead Road. Thames Hotel is about 250 yards on the left. Turn left immediately before hotel into Ray Park Road and car park is behind the hotel on the right. From Terminals 4 and 5: take M25 north and then M4 west and then follow directions as above.
