The million-dollar view from this hostel will add a whole new meaning to your trip. Great rooms and a homely environment are awaiting you. Located right on the lakefront, with unobstructed views to the mountains beyond. A large cosy lounge with a log fire in winter overlooks the lake and is the ultimate place for watching the incredible shades of blue of this glacier fed lake. Experience a variety of walks, fishing, and scenic flights around Mt Cook and glaciers. Play squash and golf, or have a go at ice-skating, cross-country & downhill skiing. Visit the Church of the Good Shepherd, or take a tour of the Southern Hemispher by night. Stargazing tours depart from close to the hostel.Amongst our staff, the following languages are spoken: Japanese, Mandarin, Malay, some French, and some Spanish.No Bank or ATM in Tekapo.YHA New Zealand is a non-profit membership organisation.
