In the fall of 1883, work gangs of the Canadian Pacific Railway quickly pushed the rail line westward through the valley of the Bow River, establishing among others, a small work camp, "Siding 29". In time, Siding 29 unfolded to the town of "Banff", in Canada's first National Park. Situated at 1,384 meters (4,540 feet) above sea level, "Canada's Highest Town" of 7,726 residents is nestled in the heart of Canada's premier wilderness reserve and is world-renowned for its year round activities. Located only 3 blocks from the bustling downtown area, the Best Western Siding 29 Lodge is convenient to shops, restaurants, cultural activities and adventures in the wilderness. We offer 45 standard rooms with king or queen beds complete with hairdryer, iron and ironing boards, coffee maker, telephones, color cable television and electronic key card locks. There are also 12 deluxe suites with a variety of configurations and some with Jacuzzi'sA for your convenience. We offer the complimentary continental breakfast, underground parking and the heated indoor pool and whirlpool. When in the Rockies, all you have to do is come outside!
