Refurbished and transformed into a luxury hotel in 1962, it retains its priceless reminders of the Castles historic past. Splendid wood carvings and stone statuary, hand carver paneling, fine antique furnishings surround guests. On site activities include a 72 par course is a traditional parkland creation meandering through the lakes,marsh and woodlands of one of Ireland greatest Castle estates. Guest may also partake in Fishing which is also available for residents on the lake, additional to this Archery and Clay pigeon shooting is also available November - January. Health and Leisure facilities include 17metre Swimming Pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna and fully equipped Gymnasium.(10/05TM) This is a historic hotel which dates back to the 16th century and is set in huge, romantic gardens and woodland near a Lake. Located on a 410-acre estate, this hotel is just 12 Km's from Shannon Airport and is one of the most exclusive baronial castles in Ireland. It is situated in the heart of the Clare countryside and local attractions include Bunratty Castle and Folk Park.

The 75 guest rooms and suites have been individually decorated with great attention to detail. The rooms are medium and large in size and in exceptional condition. The decor includes rich damask wallpaper, antique furnishings and custom-designed curtains and drapes. The suites are in the centre of the Castle and the bedrooms are in an annexe that leads off the main building, through a Tudor Courtyard.
