Location. The Rocco Forte Charles Hotel is located in the centre of Munich within the Old Botanical Gardens, 1.5 kilometres from the Oktoberfest. The central train station, for metro and rail services, is 300 metres from the hotel. Hotel Features. A contemporary hotel, with decor in browns and creams, the Charles Hotel features original paintings by 19th century artist Von Lenbach. From Munich Airport (MUC): Distance to The Charles Hotel is 35 kilometres, approximately 40 minutes' drive. Getting there. Taxis are available from the airport 24 hours. With a hotel reservation a limousine service with S class Mercedes can be booked. Getting around. The S Bahn line 1 or 8 goes from the hotel directly to Munich city centre, and Central Station. The station is 300 metres away. Driving directions. From Munich Airport take the highway A9. Exit Muenchen Schwabing and continue on the Schenkendorfstrasse for 600 metres. Leave Schenkendorfstrasse and turn right into Petuelring for 200 metres. Turn left into Leopoldstrasse. Continue into Ludwigstrasse, and then into Odeonsplatx. Turn right into Brienner Strasse. Continue over the Karolineplatz for about 900 metres and turn left into Meiserstarsse. After 300 metres turn right into Sophienstrasse and the hotel is on the right.
