The Mosquito Beach Hotel is a small, adults-only boutique hotel situated on the heart of the Playa del Carmen beachfront property. It is adjacent to the 5th Avenue and maritime zone on 8 Street, approximately 45 miles from the Cancun International Airport. The local attractions include shopping and dining in downtown Playa del Carmen, Xcaret theme park, Tres Rios Eco-Park, Cenotes Kantun-Chi, and Tulum. This resort offers a unique combination of comfort and good music in a relaxed ocean front environment. The Mosquito Beach has one small pool surrounded by lovely landscaped gardens and chaise lounges. The Mosquito Blue, the brother hotel three blocks away, offers spa services with a holistic approach and highly trained therapists. The Spa Itza combines the essential elements of massage, ancient Mayan body therapies, and contemporary beauty treatments, utilizing the diverse, naturally hand-harvested botanicals and herbs of the nearby Yucatan jungle eco-system. On the rooftop, guests can enjoy sauna, vapor, open air showers, and a spacious relaxation deck. The hotel amenities include breakfast with extra charge, 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, tour assistance, wake-up calls, dry cleaning service, limited room service, concierge, a library, billiards table, and computers with complimentary Internet access and wireless in public areas. The 33 guest rooms feature damask bedspreads, down pillows, and Egyptian linens. The amenities include cable TV, dial-up Internet access, climate control, hairdryers, minibars, safes, and burglary amenities. The different room types include the Sunrise, with a garden, swimming pool, and partial ocean view with two twin beds; the Breeze, offering an oceanfront or partial view subject to availability; and the White Sand, offering an ocean or garden view with a balcony or terrace subject to availability with a king size bed.
