It's also a great base for some of Connemara's most fantastic walks and hikes and bike rental is also available.If activity doesn't appeal to you though, the serenity of the location of Sleepzone Connemara is an attraction in itself.N.B. Remember this property is quite isolated. While we have some food for sale, if planning on preparing meals yourself it is advisable to bring food with you, rather than having to drive a few miles to buy groceries.

Jump On � Jump Off with Galway Tour Company:How this Works - an easy (and enjoyable!) way to travel to Sleepzone Connemara is with Galway Tour Company. The bus collects at Sleepzone Galway City every day at 9.45am, does a tour of Connemara, and you can �Jump Off� at Sleepzone Connemara at about 2.00pm. When you would like to return to Galway City you can simply �Jump On� again, complete the tour of Connemara and return to Galway City by about 6.00pm. Discount tickets are available at Reception at Sleepzone Galway City.This tour includes Ashford Castle, Cong, Kylemore Abbey & Gardens, the Inagh Valley and Killary fjord.By car:Sleepzone Connemara is 35 miles from Galway City.Take the Clifden Road (N59) from Galway and pass Moycullen and Oughterard. At Maam Cross (Peacock's Hotel) turn right heading to Maam and Leenane. Sleepzone is situated 6km past Leenane (on the Clifden Road) - a sighn on the right hand side shows you where to turn to the hostel. Inagh Valley: An alternative (slightly longer but beautiful) route leads through the Inagh Valley. From Galway go straight through Maam Cross until you reach Recess. At Recess turn right heading to the Inagh Valley. Atthe end of the road turn right. You will see a sign marking where to turn to Sleepzone after 6 km. Galway Tour Company:The Galway Tour Company offers a daily running coach tour of Connemara with the opportunity to hop on/ hop off where-ever you want.By bus:Bus Eireann offers daily services to Leenane during the summer and twice a week during the winter.
