From Catania Fontanorossa Airport (CTA): Distance to Hotel Cavalieri is 55 kilometres, approximately 60 minutes' drive. Getting there. Buses run directly to Syracuse from the airport. Tickets are available from a booth in front of the terminal building, and must be validated when boarding. Taxis cost around 50 EUR to Syracuse. Prices are all subject to change. Getting around. An inexpensive rail network links Sicily's larger towns, including Palermo, Messina, Catania, Taormina, and Syracuse. Buses run through Syracuse. A car is recommended for exploring the less touristy areas.
