  • Overall: Rating of 4.3 out of 5

"would definately stay here again or recommend it to friends." source Hostelworld

"would definitely recommend this place:." source Hostelworld

  • Clean: Rating of 4.4 out of 5

"Pros: key room access, clean dorm and bathroom, small in room locker and big in hall, helpful and friendly staff, best free map ever, pay for WIFI hours, pay per use internet computers, kitchen, free walking tour booklets, 5 euro laundry and dryer, 25 minute walk to Dresden Neustadt bahnhof, 30 minute walk into Old Town, attractions, Netto supermarket, restaurants, small bars/cafes all close." source Hostelworld

"+ : helpfull staff and clean rooms / sanitary - : We weren't really fond of the collective showers (okay, admit that women and men didn't share the same showers, but no privacy anyhow) and our bed situated up-high." source Hostelworld

"But ppl staying there'd better pay more for the bed sheets coz the pillow and bed are not so clean." source Hostelworld

"The rooms and showers were all very clean as well, and the balcony's in the upper rooms were great." source Hostelworld

"pretty nice and clean place with lots of information about the city and activities." source Hostelworld

  • Service: Rating of 4.5 out of 5

"Three lockers in the room were broken/ out of service, so had to use locker outside the room - all lockers had a very flimsy locking mechanism (attach lock to very thin piece of metal) which did not inspire confidence, but I did not have any theft problem." source Hostelworld

"Very helpful staff, and they moved me to a nicer, brighter room even without me asking." source Hostelworld

  • Location: Rating of 4.1 out of 5

"Pros: good location in Neustadt; friendly/helpful receptionists; free bikes to rent (but really old/unreliable); breakfast option; 2Euro beer Cons: charge to use computer/wifi; bunkbeads designed poorly for those on top bunks (no headroom)." source Hostelworld

"Location is right in the middle of where all the parties are, but it's about a fifteen minute trip by streetcar from the main train station." source Hostelworld

"Great fun to stay at and in the Neustadt area of Dresden so there's lots of great bars and things to do in the evening." source Hostelworld

"The complimentary USE-IT maps are great, the area is really cool, even if it isn\'t in the Old Town." source Hostelworld

"The most important thing to mention about Lollis is the extremely good location." source Hostelworld

  • Value

"There weren't enough showers (though the ones they had were good) and sheets, breakfast, and internet all cost money." source Hostelworld

  • Room

"the furniture in our room was amazing, a giant table and chairs made up our bed. However we didn't feel security was great as our room was a fire escape and couldn't be locked." source Hostelworld

"Imagine going to dresden and the guy at the hostel tells you there isnt a room available after you already put down a deposit and walked all the way there." source Hostelworld

"I like the slightly weird rooms, the receptionist is very helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable." source Hostelworld

"I booked a 6 bed room and they put another one so was impossible walking in the room." source Hostelworld

"So many informations about what to do and to see, a great atmosphere in the "living room"." source Hostelworld

Directions

Attention: Dresden has two major train stations. Closer to the hostel is the station Dresden Neustadt. Almost all trains stop there too, particularly trains from and to Leipzig, Prague and Berlin. From the Neustadt train stationLeave the station through the main exit. Go straight ahead on to 'Antonstrasse' and continue along past the square, called 'Albertplatz'. Keep on walking straight, the street is now called 'Bautzner Strasse'. Turn left at the next crossing, onto 'Rothenburger Strasse'. After 500m the street changes its name to 'Grlitzer Stasse'. We are at the next crossing to the right.time 15-20 min, approx. 1500m to walkIf you don't want to walk, take tram No. 11, direction 'Bhlau', or No. 6, direction 'Niedersedlitz', for just two stops to 'Bautzner/Rothenburger Strasse' tram-stop. Here you change to tram No. 13 direction 'Mickten' and once again travel just two stops as far as the tram-stop 'Alaunplatz'. Now you just have to walk back along the tram-line for 100m.time approx. 15 min: 1 min to walk 100m walkFrom the main train station (Hauptbahnhof)Catch tram No. 7, direction 'Weixdorf', as far as the stop 'Bischofsweg'. Turn right onto Bischofsweg and continue along for about 400m. Take the third street to the right, you will find us after 100m.time approx. 20 min: 5 min walk 500m walkFrom the airportThe easiest way is to catch a train from the airport to the Neustadt Railway Station and then follow the steps shown above.Time approx. 60 minutes. You can also catch bus No. 77, and change to tram No. 7 at the stop 'Infineon Nord'. Leave tram No. 7 at the stop, 'Bischofsweg', turn left onto Bischofsweg and continue along for approx. 400m. Take the third street (Grlitzer Strasse) to the right, you will find us after 100 m.time 30 40 min: 5 min to walk 500m walkBy carAttention! There are hardly any parking spaces and many one way streets.Leave the highway at the exit 'Hellerau' and drive along the main road to the town center. Turn left at McDonalds on to 'Fritz-Reuter-Strasse', pass underneath some railway bridges, cross the next big intersection. The street is now called 'Bischofsweg'. On your left hand side is a big green square. At the end of it turn right on to 'Kamenzer Strasse' and turn right again into the next street, called 'Sebnitzer Strasse'. Our entrance is about 200m ahead on your left hand side, just before the next intersection. You can drop off your luggage with us here. Then turn right onto 'Grlitzer Strasse', turn right onto the next street again, called 'Bischofsweg'. (Trying of course to find the next available parking space). At the end of the park you turn left on to 'Kamenzer Strasse' and drive around the park. At the other end of the park, a bit above the other area and just 5 minutes away from the hostel there are always legal and free parking spaces.
