Traveler Photos of Taunggok

The road to paradise is paved with gold. Or at least a golden sunset. Michael, a retired Australian tax investigator, and Mimi, his 22 year-old Burmese wife. They were a lovely couple. The pickup from Taunggok to Ngapali, after five or six people got off. This allowed me room to get out my camera and take this shot: the view from under my knee. A flat tire? Who'd have thought. Fortunately what they lack in maintenance skill Burmese mechanics make up for with innovation. Don't leave home without a puncture repair kit.
