More information on Hostel Havana

Garden hostel HAVANA can be found just at the edge of the Krumlov historical centre-only few steps from the place Egon Schiele painted his famous Dead Town pictures. Three houses on the Vltava river bank have been build to create a central courtyard with a beautiful garden with tables and music for chilling out in and enjoying a few beers.Because HAVANA is on the right place - 10 min walk from the main square but also in the part of Krumlov where the locals live, so after you are fed up with overcrowded streets and high prices in turistic pubs, let the locals show you (and advice you) how to live and drink... Cesky Krumlov and HAVANA is nowardays the perfect place to stop to recharge yourself and maybe even get yourself back on budget. If you're into a bit of adventure, we also offer canoe, raft and bike rental, or you can also ask at reception about other recommended day trips and places of interest around Krumlov in the beautiful region of South BohemiaPlease notice that check-in is until 7 pm ( 19:00)!!! If you are late, you risk loose a beds.

Directions

The easiest way to get to Cesky Krumlov from Prague or Ceske Budejovice is to take one of the freqent trains or buses.BUS-get off at the main Krumlov bus station-the last stop of the bus, and walk towards the road the bus just tirned off. Immediately take a left and then another a walk behind the petrol station Agip and cross the main road and take a left. The castle tower should now be on your right hand side. Keep walking down this road pass 2 pairs of trafic lights and down this small hill until you get to a river with a bridge crossing it. Just before the bridge, take a left turn (keep an eye out for our sign) on POD SVATM DUCHEM- and after 50mtr WELCOME TO HAVANA!!! THIS SHOULDNT TAKE YOU MORE THAN 15 MIN !!!TRAIN-If you take the train from Prague, our staff will probably(BUT NOT DEFFINATELY!) pick you up from the station for free. If not, we recomment taking a taxi because the train station is outside of town and we are on the other side of town. Shouldn't cost more than 150,-CZEIn case you would like to take a short walk through the city centre head down towards the castle tower by turning right after leaving the station and following the main road which will take you down a fairly steep path into the town. Follow the only street (it is called LATRAN)and on your right (underneath the castle) will be the UNIOS TOURIST INFORMATION( if you say you are going to HAVANA, you will recieve a map for free). Keep going down the same street untill you get to the town square:cross it to get to the far right corner and you are at NA LOUZI.Turn left and walk towards the bridge.Cross the river and clime up the stairs in front of you. Follow the street and it will take you to another bridge. Cross that bridge, taking a left and take the road immediately right after the bridge-this street is called POD SVATM DUCHEM.After 50m WELCOME TO HOSTEL HAVANA!! on your left (the fourth house) (THIS SHOULDNT TAKE YOU MORE THAN 30MIN!!!)

The wine fest that we went to for like twenty minutes. Not that much fun, plus waaaay too expensive. Ross checking out the Merc's at the Mercedes Benz museum
