It was started by Australian Businessman Roy.Roy is a keen sailor and rumour has it that the original Flag building was swapped by Roy for his Yacht upon arriving in Varna. Roy has now retired from the hostel world and has become an international property developer. The last we heard he was buying up large chunks of Berlin. Flag is now under new management and is owned by an Englishman - Dave.Flag Varna is in the very centre of Varna. We are less than 10 minutes walk from the Beach, Bars, Clubs and Restaurants. Flag Varna - Cross the main road from the train station. Walk up the road opposite called Tsar Simeon, which is directly opposite the tower of the train station, (left side of the station as you look at it). - Keep walking up the road, straight all the way up, over the pedestrain area directly in-front of you and back onto the road. The road then gets a little steeper until you come out on the main pedestrain St (kyznaz boris). To your left is the main sq and the fountain. Continue on keeping the'happy grill bar' to your left and we are the second left. No 2 Sheinovo Street. We are on the first floor. Taxi is possible, always check the prices in the window though and don't pay more than 0.59 lv per kilometre. The taxi will have to go through the one way system, so we advise walking.From the Bus Station:- Take bus 148 or 409 from the bus station and alight at the cathedral (which is on the right). The distance is around 1.5 km. - There is a t- junction where you will alight. Walk under the underpass towards the pedestrian area. Then walk down the pedestrain area past the opera and fountain. - The area veers to the left just past the fountain at the happy bar and grill. We are the second left. No 2 Sheinovo Street on the first floor. Just look for the Flag!Taxi from the bus station should be no more than 3 lev, around 1.5 euro.Walking is easy but around 1.5 km. Just walk out of the bus station and turn left walking down the main road until you see the cathedral on your right.Walk under the underpass towards the pedestrian area.
