More information on Cross Hands Hotel

minutes from the M4 junction 18- the Cross Hands Hotel is a charming old posting house dating from the 14th century and is popular nowadays with- among others- country lovers- horse racing fans- motor racers- golfers and young couples and our own dear Queen sought shelter here during a blizzard in 1981. Those who like a bit of spooky history might like to know that the cellars were once used to house convicted criminals- sentenced to death by Bloody Judge Jeffreys. The Cross Hands restaurant is relaxed- spacious and situated on two levels- offering a warm atmosphere. Our guests are able to dine from our adventurous and interesting menu. Our chefs prepare food of the highest quality- from a modern well equipped kitchen. Our food has achieved an excellent reputation amongst local and international diners. Come and check out our chef s daily specials. The oak beamed Beaufort Bar- full of charm and character- is ideal for sampling one of the ranges of traditional ales and delicious bar food. Open working Fire place adds comfort on those winter days and evenings. Our conference and banquet centre has received a full refurbishment Summer 2003. Weddings and conferences are a specialty at the Cross Hands. The hotel can cater for up to 120 guests- with the beautiful secret gardens adding the perfect finishing touch.
