Colonially elegant and infused with design touches hinting to its imperial past, the Taj Connemara, is Chennai*s only heritage hotels. Located in down-town Chennai adjacent to Spencer*s Plaza, the hotel is five km (three miles) from Marina Beach. Hotel amenities include: outdoor swimming pool, fitness equipment, and laundry facilities. Wining and dining choices include a newly renovated 24hour cafe, a semi-formal South Indian cuisine restaurant, a Pan Asian Specialty restaurant and a semi-formal bar with a fine selection of beverages and wines. Taj Connemara has 141 guest rooms and nine suites, all of which offer high speed wireless Internet access and cable TV. The rooms are spacious - the largest rooms in the city - with an old world, colonial feel, and still equipped with modern conveniences. Airport transportation is provided by the hotel (subject to a charge).
