The atmosphere, thanks to an accurate and true restoration, has revived the freshness and the intimacy of this 16th century Noblemen's house offering guests large room and wide-open spaces, between vineyards and olive trees. All room furnishings are done with antiques or Florentine handcrafted items by the owners which all have been found after long search. Each room of the villa is air conditioned and guarantees with quiet operation, an ideal temperature, adjustable for personal comfort. Every room is also equipped with satellite TV, safe, minibar, telephone and second line for computers. Bathrooms are deluxe, equipped with hair dryer and a range of beauty products. The complementary buffet breakfast includes a wide range of fresh specialities and a wide choice of alternatives; in summer, breakfast is served on the covered terrace (Loggia), overlooking the valley. In front of the pool, there is picturesque building called �The Gabella� which once was a tool gate between the Chianti area and Florence and which has a steam bath and a spacious Jacuzzi. Villa Montartino is situated on a hill supported and protected by high stone walls as a testimony to the origin of the building. Access from Florence is through Via Suor Maria Celeste, the characteristic road linking Montartino to downtown or via the motorway exit Certosa then through Via Gherardo Silvani. Crossing the main gate of Montartino from Via Suor Maria Celeste 19, you will be enchanted by the panorama of the Ema Valley. Nearer to the villa it is possible to admire the Monastery of Certosa at the font of the Chianti hills and a charming landscape of architecturally enchanting villas and country churches. From the motorway A1, take the Certosa Florence exit. Go in the direction of Florence and at the second traffic light turn right into Via Gherardo Silvani, at the far end of the big square. Continue on Via Silvani for about 1 km. where the road divides: keep to the right. The hotel is on the left, number 151 behind a gated entrance.From the Florence Airport at the first traffic light, turn right and enter the A11 motorway. After about 5 Km. take the exit to Roma and enter the A1 motorway, direction Roma. After about 10 Km. take the Certosa exit in the direction of Florence and at the second traffic light turn right into via Gherardo Silvani at the far end of the big square. The hotel is on the left, number 151 behind a gated entrance.Villa Montartino has two gated entrances, one on via Suor Maria Celeste N.19 that is normally used to walk to Florence or to take a taxi, and one on Via Gherardo Silvani N.151 for private vehicles.
