  • Overall: Rating of 4.0 out of 5

"The housekeeping was below par, but overall still my first choice in Vancouver." source Hotels.com

"This would be a good hotel for those looking for a cheap room for the night, or for a young family with not much money, but it is overpriced. We would never stay there again." source Priceline

"We would definitely recommend this hotel, and would return in the future." source Travelocity

"Highly recommended for the price." source Expedia

"I selected a hotel recommended by the travel agency and got a good price." source Travelocity

  • Clean: Rating of 4.0 out of 5

"The rooms were REALLY old, not clean, and just a horrible experience, we actually only slept there for 3 of the 7 nights, I paid for a hotel room somewhere else for the other nights, and yes the bed is VERY uncomfortable too." source Priceline

"The lobby and public areas, although somewhat dated, think interior design trends of the late 1980's, are large, clean and inviting." source Priceline

"The cleaning staff were very good & because I had a baby & told them to come back in the morning, they just kept coming back til I was ready for them & they weren't rude or irritated by it." source Travelocity

"Room was clean, storing luggage after check out provided, and front desk employees was very helpful." source Travelocity

"It was clean and ok, especially for the priceline price, but would never pay the real price of $200 some dollars." source Priceline

  • Service: Rating of 4.2 out of 5

"Rooms are large and have all the standard conveniences, including free wi fi, and service is excellent." source Hotels.com

"Very reasonably priced and conveniently located with attractive grounds and helpful staff." source Priceline

"I stayed at this hotel in October 2008 and teh wireless internet service was spotty, and an office that is available in the lobby for web browsing and printing often had others waiting or door was locked." source Travelocity

"good location, poor quality service, expecially porters and some waitresses, dinner entrees very bland." source Expedia

"The helpful staff & their desire to become the 1st ecofriendly hotel." source Priceline

  • Location: Rating of 4.1 out of 5

"Great location, very nice staff, but we learned only top 2 floors (34 and 35) were renovated: all the other rooms below are still 1970s-80s decor and somewhat shabby, and the airconditioning-heating system is noisy and inefficient." source Hotels.com

"In a very nice residential area of Vancover. Walking distance (2-3 blocks) from Stanley Park and about 15 blocks from downtown made this a perfect choice for me and my family." source Priceline

"There are two things that I felt that they could improve on which is their bathroom size and the crazy wall to wall painting in their 50 feet pool area with a nice hot tub." source Travelocity

"The hotel is located centrally close to so much of Vancouver: just blocks from the beach (on the bay), restaurants, and the Big Red Bus line. A wonderful place to step out from each day for an adventure in the area." source Expedia

"The bathroom was in need of new caulk in the tub area." source Hotels.com

  • Value: Rating of 4.0 out of 5

"Excellent value, great location, friendly employees." source Priceline

"Good for the price." source Priceline

"The kitchen suite is an awesome value for the cost." source Travelocity

"It's a good value for the location, but the hotel's public areas, the room itself, and the bathroom were all quite acceptable--but no more." source Travelocity

"Plenty of restaurants and shopping, all price levels, and good people-watching." source Travelocity

Built originally as an apartment building, this 35-story hotel atop Denman Place Mall attracts a wide variety of guests, from business travelers and bus tours to film and TV actors. They come for the large rooms, affordable one- or two-bedroom suites, and fabulous views of English Bay. The two-bedroom corner suites are bigger than most West End apartments and boast spectacular panoramas. The spacious one-bedroom suites and standard rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows and walk-out balconies; about half the units have full kitchens. Furnishings are plain and comfortable, if a little dated. Though there's a good-size heated pool, it's in a basement room that is not particularly appealing. Facilities: Restaurant; bar; indoor pool; complimentary access to Denman Fitness Centre in mall below; Jacuzzi; sauna; concierge; free downtown shuttle service; business center; shopping arcade; 24-hr. room service; babysitting; coin laundry; same-day dry cleaning; nonsmoking rooms.
