One of the most pleasing restaurants in Banff, the dining room at the Buffalo Mountain Lodge occupies half of the lodge's soaring, three-story lobby, set in a quiet wooded location just outside town. As satisfying as all this is to the eye and the spirit, the food here is even more notable. The chef brings together the best of regional ingredients -- Alberta beef, lamb, pheasant, venison, trout, and B.C. salmon -- and prepares each in a seasonally changing, contemporary style.
