Glenallan is an elegant Victorian house, retaining a wealth of original character but with all modern comforts. We offer a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with attention to detail and luxury, suitable for leisure and business guests alike. Situated approximately a mile from the heart of Edinburgh, Glenallan is an ideal base for exploring not only the historic and vibrant city centre but also the surrounding countryside and other attractions.We have 5 letting rooms consisting of 1 family rooms, 1 twin rooms and 3 double rooms. rooms have TV/ DVD, with tea and coffee making facilities. Hairdryers, iron and board on request. Available are 3 en suite rooms, 2 with private bathroom, Groups are welcome, as well as children.We are Open all year, and for the ease of all our guests we have our 24 hour check-in throughout the year. However, rooms may not be available for immmediate occupation until after 2 pm.Glenallan is completely non-smoking.There is a garden and a private car park for the exclusive use of our guests. A regular bus service leaves from outside Glenallan and takes just a few minutes to Princes Street and The Royal Mile.A continental breakfast is available. We can arrange a free courtesy pickup from the rail or bus station on your arrival. Arrangements can also be made for an airport transfer. Please advise us prior to travelling. We also arrange day tours to the Loch Ness and Loch Lomond in the famous Scottish Highlands. These tours run literally throughout the year.we have aminimum stay of 4 nights inclusive dates:28, 29, 30, 31st dec 2009, 1 & 2 jan 2010a minimum stay of two nights at all weekends throughout the year, if arriving on a friday or saturday. A minimum stay of 3 nights during all days of the week during the month of august. 3 nights minimum for following inclusive dates:5 - 8, 12 - 15 feb 201027 feb 09 - 1 march 1012 - 15 March 20108 - 12 april 1030 april - 4 may 201021 - 26 may 2010

From the airport there is bus service into the city centre, and once in the city centre you can ring us for a courtesy pickup to Glenallan. Also from the rail or bus station there is a regular bus service to just outside Glenallan, this takes a few minutes. If you are coming in by car then you need to take the North bridges turning from the main Princes Street, travelling downhill approximately 5 minutes and turn right into Brights Crescent. We are at the end of that street.
