"wife and i went to Shell Island Resort, not really a resort but nice hotel in a great location with 2 rooms living room separate from bedroom and kitchenette, great views of ocean and Wrightsville Beach is the most active place I,ve ever been with all the runners, joggers, bicyclers and everyone seems very active, old and young, it just gets you in the mood to do something, many fine restaurants within 2-3 miles, we will go back, kinda makes you feel young and I'm 57." — source Orbitz

The Shell Island Resort Hotel is an all oceanfront suites property with breathtaking expanses of marshes, sea lovers, dunes and private undeveloped beaches. Every suite has its own private balcony with views of the Atlantic Ocean, sleeps up to 6, has a queen sleeper sofa, 1.5 baths, kitchen facilities, microwave, cable TV, phone with dataport, living and dining rooms, including a kitchenette. We are located in a secluded beach area, away from traffic, busy restaurants and stores. Located in the resort area of Wrightsville Beach.
